In accordance with the French midfielder, Juventus have no intention of terminating Paul Pogba’s Old Lady contract. Since his return to Serie A from Manchester United, the 29-year-old has yet to participate in a competitive game, leading some to believe that his contract would be terminated prematurely.

Pogba was an inspiration during his first season with Juventus when he helped the team win the Serie A championship four times in a row from 2013 to 2016. In midfield, he formed a strong bond with Arturo Vidal, Claudio Marchisio, and Andrea Pirlo, who were at the center of everything the club accomplished during that time.

Paul Pogba makes the news this year as he ends his contract with Manchester United in 2022. This summer his contract ended with the club and he has decided not to renew the same. He transferred to the club in August of the year 2016. He came in as a France international, a pass-out from United’s academy. He then moved on to Juventus, the Italian team. He again rejoined United for an amount of 89 million EUR when the transfer window opened in the summer of 2016.

Experts point out that, confidence, physicality, and skill are what set him apart and made him an asset to both Juventus and Manchester United. He was an enigma when he played at Old Trafford. He was under three managers which included Sir Alex Ferguson as well. The latter struggled to work with him though he did win a medal in a World Cup during this period as well as four titles in Serie A.

Liverpool are already staring down the barrel of a shocking season. But Paul Pogba should be an unlikely source of transfer reassurance for owners FSG. The list of the top 20 most expensive football transfers of all time is a surprisingly hit-and-miss affair. Romelu Lukaku features on it twice, with both moves going down as major flops. Liverpool’s sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona sits in third place. But perhaps nobody surpasses Paul Pogba, whose move to Manchester United still ranks as one of the 10 most expensive deals in history — bookended by two separate free transfers to Juventus.

It’s a statistic that sums up the Frenchman’s rather curious career, one full of peaks and troughs. He has found himself the subject of ridicule and scorn on occasion, epitomised by his second release from Old Trafford in the summer. But he has also spent time as one of football’s hottest properties, as the eye-watering transfer record attests.

Paul Pogba faces a race against time to be fit for the 2022 World Cup after it was confirmed he will return from injury just 10 days before the first ball is kicked in Qatar. The Frenchman joined Juventus for a second this summer after departing Manchester United but saw his sensational return ruined by an injury in pre-season. Pogba originally opted for a shorter and riskier treatment as he attempted to get substantial playing minutes under his belt in Italy but changed his mind after and underwent surgery last week.

The midfielder is being forced to undergo eight weeks of rehabilitation following surgery before he is able to return to first-team training in Turin, and may not return until Juventus travel to Verona on November 10, according to Get French Football News. The 29-year-old’s rest period would see him given the green light to return to training on October 31 but would need weeks to get up to competitive match fitness.

Three weeks ago, you could forgive a Juventus fan for being more bullish about the midfield than one had in quite some time. With Paul Pogba returning to join talented pieces like Manuel Locatelli and Weston McKennie, backed up by Denis Zakaria and three solid young prospects, things were finally looking up for a unit that had been in flux for nearly half a decade. While certainly not on the level of the MVPP midfield of a decade ago, it certainly had the potential to match what we saw when a prime Miralem Pjanic and a pre-injury Sami Khedira were manning the engine room.

For some (myself included) Pogba’s return was tempered by the fact that his injury history was reaching “Not great, Bob!” levels. That reared its ugly head early, undercutting an excellent performance in the team’s first friendly when he was diagnosed with a tear in his meniscus. Initially faced with anywhere from two to five months out, depending on which surgery he chose, he then imprudently chose Door No. 3 and decided to simply try to rehab the knee, turning his leg into a ticking time bomb in order to try to stave off surgery before the World Cup.
