Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was a surprise omission after the nominees for the first monthly award of the new Premier League campaign was announced on Thursday. Frenchman Paul Pogba was missing on the list of six nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month for August 2021.

Paul Pogba has been one of the best players for Manchester United after the first three games of the new league season. Manchester United had a representative on the list of nominees and that was England international Mason Greenwood.  While Pogba has the most assists amongst Manchester United players and in the Premier League in general, Greenwood has scored the most goals at Manchester United alongside Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United will pay star midfielder Paul Pogba a big sum of money if he leaves the club this summer amidst the transfer rumours of a move to the Parc des Princes. The Frenchman has been touted as a possible addition to the squad at Mauricio Pochettino’s disposal at Paris Saint Germain (PSG). The report of the payment to Paul Pogba was made by The Sun. It was revealed that the Red Devils would pay Pogba the sum of £15m if he’s sold to PSG this summer due to the clause in his contract at the club. Manchester United won’t pay Pogba unless he leaves as a free agent at the end of his current deal next summer or if he hands in a transfer request.

Pogba is in a strong position as he has a year left on his contract in addition to the inability to reach a new contract agreement with him on the part of the club.

Manchester United players Paul Pogba and Victor Lindelof have excelled for their respective countries at Euro 2020 after the first set of games in their group. In addition to Lindelof, Paul Pogba too has won the best player award at an Euro 2020 tournament.

Lindelof won the best player accolade as Sweden forced Spain to a goalless draw in their first game at the Euro 2020 tournament. He helped the Swedes keep a clean sheet against hosts Spain in Seville. The Spaniards wasted the few chances that came their way on the back of dominating the game. Central striker Alvaro Morata was the most culpable for the home team who disappointed fans with the results earned against the Swedes.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was back to his best in the colours of world champions France in their friendly win over Bulgaria on Tuesday night. In their final warm-up match before their Euro 2020 campaign begin, France thrashed Bulgaria 3-0 and Paul Pogba was one of their best players.

Manchester United manager Solskjaer have one foot in the semi-finals of the Europa League after the 2-0 away victory over their Spanish La Liga opponents in the first leg of their quarterfinal tie. Alongside Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw didn’t finish the match as a result of injury.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provided an update on the injury to Paul Pogba in his pre-match press conference last week as he pointed out that the Frenchman still need a few weeks before he returns to action. Paul Pogba has been missing in action for the Red Devils since he sustained a thigh injury during the Premier League game between his team and Everton at Old Trafford last month. Paul Pogba has missed the last six games for Manchester United as a result of the aforementioned thigh injury. The Frenchman won’t be back until after the March international break as confirmed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the league outing between hosts Chelsea and Manchester United. Without Paul Pogba, Manchester United were not able to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday as the two teams played out a goalless draw. The talking point of the dull game came in the first half when Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi was lucky not to concede a penalty when he handled the ball in the Blues box.

Juventus have had their approach for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba rejected as the Italians try to re-sign the French World Cup winner this summer. Paul Pogba was formerly on the payroll of the Old Lady before he moved back to England to play for Manchester United. The rebuffed approach for Paul Pogba from Juventus was revealed by the Daily Mirror. It was revealed that Manchester United are keen on a swap deal that would see Paul Pogba leave the club but they were not happy with the player suggestion from Juventus.


It was revealed that Juventus offered Welshman Aaron Ramsey in a swap deal for Paul Pogba but it was turned down by the Red Devils, who have no interest in the ex-Arsenal midfielder. Manchester United had previously been interested in Aaron Ramsey but it seems like that ship has sailed. Juventus also offered Brazilian winger Douglas Costa whose presently on a season-long loan deal at Champions League holders Bayern Munich and the Old Lady met the same response of no interest from Manchester United. Just like Aaron Ramsey, the English club had previously been linked with a move for Douglas Costa.

According to Manchester United manager Olé Gunnar Solskjær, French midfielder Paul Pogba is not trying to force his way out of Old Trafford but is instead focused on helping the club’s fortunes.


The midfielder has been ensuring a torrid run of form over the past months and has come under different forms of criticism both from fans, pundits, and ex-players. According to some fans, Pogba is going at length to fake injuries just so he misses games deliberately and not feature for the club.
